Part Time Seasonal Warehouse Assistant
Join Natural Waterscapes as a Seasonal Warehouse Assistant for the summer! You’ll gain hands-on experience packaging our products for shipment and keeping our facility clean, safe, and organized. This role is perfect for a motivated rising senior looking to build teamwork, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills before heading back to school.
Key Responsibilities
1. Packaging & Order Fulfillment
Pick & Pack: Use pick lists to select products and pack them into bins, boxes, and containers.
Labeling & Staging: Accurately label each package for shipment and stage completed orders.
Restocking Support: Help replenish product shelves and supplies as needed.
Quality Checks: Inspect items for defects; report any damaged or incorrect products to your supervisor immediately.
2. Routine Building Cleaning
Floor Care: Sweep and mop warehouse floors daily; vacuum office and break-room areas.
Surface Cleaning: Wipe down workstations, shelving units, door handles, and windows.
Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners, and organize disposal areas.
Supply Maintenance: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies; notify your lead when inventory runs low.
3. Safety & Organization
Hazard Prevention: Keep aisles, doorways, and workstations clear of clutter and impediments.
PPE & Procedures: Follow all safety guidelines—wear gloves, back support, or other gear as required.
Issue Reporting: Alert supervisors to any safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Current junior in high school; available full-time or part-time through summer.
Physical Ability: Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 65 lbs repeatedly.
Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Attitude: Detail-oriented, proactive about cleanup tasks, and eager to learn new skills.
Environment: Able to work safely in varying temperatures (warehouse may be cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons).
